Greetings NAAAHR Members and Friends!
While NAAAHR Charlotte has focused on positioning ourselves as a resource for current and prospective HR practitioners, we have also worked diligently to focus on utilizing our unique skills within our larger community. To that end, we are proud to announce two exciting initiatives.
NAAAHR will partner with Goodwill Industries in support of Goodwill’s professional development model for their consumers. The current scope of the partnership is dedicated to providing volunteers to facilitate developmental sessions such as goal setting and interviewing skills. If you would like to volunteer with Goodwill on behalf of NAAAHR Charlotte, please contact Melicia McCain with NAAAHR Charlotte. Melicia will partner with the Goodwill to make sure all NAAAHR volunteers are registered appropriately at Goodwill and are aware of our upcoming opportunities.
NAAAHR has also partnered with the Urban League of Central Carolinas Young Professionals (YPs) to create a professional development series for the YPs. Our sessions will focus on networking, transitioning within the job market, and overall career growth.
We are looking forward to our long-term partnerships with the Urban League and Goodwill. Other community relations initiatives will be communicated as they form. If you have any questions or ideas for the Community Relations committee, please contact Jonathan Tobe with NAAAHR Charlotte.
